About the event

Join us for South Asian short and feature films in the rainbow spectrum.

Love and Resilience: Stories from Queer Indian Malaysians, Malaysia

The film addresses the critical lack of educational and public awareness resources in Tamil, aiming to foster understanding, visibility, and advocacy for Malaysian Indians of diverse genders and sexualities. By sharing personal stories, they shed light on the daily struggles of those resisting discrimination while affirming their resilience and self-acceptance.

Night Queen, India

Forty-eight-year-old Lakshmikant Sharma lives in Old Lucknow with his wife, daughter and widowed mother, living a life that is the textbook definition of monotony. Except it isn’t. Lakshmi wants to wear Sarees, put on her favourite shade of pink lipstick and live like a woman.

Evening Shadows, India

Set in South India and Mumbai, 'Evening Shadows' is a tender heartwarming story about a mother-son bond that has to withstand the ravages of time, distance and truths.
